A one hundred word story

(I have accepted your challenge Diane - here is a 100 word story)

The monkey sat in front of the typewriter, pounding the keys furiously. It was an antique model with a ribbon nearly worn through. Surprisingly, the machine still worked and there was some words albeit faint appearing on the paper. clickety clack. The monkey kept working away, typing, pulling the carriage back in place when the end of line was reached (which was signalled by a bell), and occasionally pausing as if to think of what should come next.
Behind the monkey, there were two men in lab coats. One of them, was a man named Shakespeare eagerly awaiting the output.

Aha! Good work! Maybe I'll give it a try sometime.

Interesting class yesterday. We practiced writing a story consisting of 100 words. Then another story of 200 words, could be different or extension of first. I tend to be a wordy writer, who throws in extra things not needed. Lose focus in process. Good exercise for me. Thanks for keeping class challenging, enlightening but always fun!

I enjoy coming here just to watch the monkey typing. His energy motivates me. That and a cup of coffee, what more could I want! I'm enjoying all your new sites, each has a uniqueness. I think that's a good idea, many subsites to capture each facet of our personality. Always something new at want-to-be-writer, always an adventure!
